The Astros notoriously start slow and get stronger as the year moves forward. They are waiting on Lance Berkman to return and still have questionable pitching if they plan to make a run they better turn things around quick after starting the year 0-5 with a new manager.The Phillies with Ryan Howard, The Cardinals with Albert Puhois and the Braves with rookie phenom Jason Hayward seem to be the favorites in the National League.In the American League the Yankees and the Angels will probably be the favorites with the Red Sox and White Sox in the hunt also. | |

| Do you think this years World Series was fixed? | | I do! There was way to many bad calls by the umpires that went the Yankees way and should not of! I think the umpires were paid off to do this and they helped the Yankeess win the 2009 World Series! Before anyone says I doing this because I hate the Yankees is wrong! | | mlb world series prediction. | | The New York Yankees will win the World Series this year. Why am I picking the Yankees? That is due to C.C Sabathia not having to pitch in a game seven against the Angels. Had C.C had to go in game seven he would have had to start again on a three day rest period and would only be able to pitch two games in the series. By not pitching and being able to have almost a weeks rest before game one start he can pitch 3 times if needed. Also another issue to me is closer Brad Lidge for the Philadelphia Phillies. While he has pitched well in the post season so far, but he has two blown saves and a lose against the Yankees this year. If they need him to step up in the 9th I don't like the Phillies chances. Outside of Cliff Lee I would say the Phillies have some questions in starting pitching. Can Cole Hamels be dominate in the Fall Classic like he was last year? Lineup wise you have to like the Yankees offense over the Phillies too. A-Rod has been the best hitter in the post season by far. Mark Texeria also has the golden glove out there at first and is key to the success of the Yankees on defense. Don't get me wrong, Jimmy Rollins is great and so is Ryan Howard among other good hitters on... | |

I watched a few games this year. I probably would watch more if the teams were different. It seems like the Angels, Yankees, cardinals, Boston are always in the playoffs. | |
